Island Rhodes Music Festival to debut at Centreville Bank Stadium this August

PAWTUCKET, R.I. — A major new music festival is set to make its debut in Pawtucket this summer, bringing nationally recognized artists and a two-day celebration of music, food, and culture to the city’s waterfront.

The Island Rhodes Music Festival will take place Aug. 15–16 at Centreville Bank Stadium, marking the first large-scale music event at the venue since it opened in 2025.

Organizers say the festival will feature a mix of reggae, hip-hop, and alternative sounds, with headlining acts including Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, Rebelution, and The Roots, along with additional performers scheduled throughout the weekend.

The two-day event is being described as a “marquee” festival for Rhode Island, designed to capture the Ocean State’s coastal identity while offering an immersive fan experience beyond just live music. Attendees can expect a rotating stage setup, a curated lineup of food vendors, and premium VIP options.

Located along the Seekonk River, the stadium provides a modern backdrop for large-scale events and is quickly expanding beyond its role as the home of Rhode Island FC. With a capacity of more than 10,000, the venue is positioning itself as a regional destination for both sports and entertainment.

Festival organizers say the goal is to establish Island Rhodes as an annual event that draws both local residents and visitors from across the Northeast. The debut also places Pawtucket alongside other well-known summer music destinations in Rhode Island, including the Newport Folk and Jazz festivals.

City leaders and event organizers see the festival as another step in Pawtucket’s continued transformation, bringing new energy and new audiences to the riverfront district.
